Shan is a co-founder and Partner at Tricap Investments, and Chief Investment Officer, International Investments at Al Jomaih Group. He has more than 40 years’ experience in investment and portfolio management with large multinationals and Middle Eastern groups. Previously, he has worked with multinationals and industry leaders in the UK, Canada, USA, the UAE and Kuwait, in the areas of operations, finance, treasury, public accounting, and strategic and corporate planning. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of England and Wales.

Sammy is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Tricap Investments. He has more than 25 years’ experience in international investments and business development. He is also a Managing Partner and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NGP Group, and a board member and director of several companies.

With extensive experience in the field of real estate development and management, Salem is Managing Director of Tricap Investments. He is also CEO of Nextar Investments LLC. Salem has previously held senior management positions in large real estate companies including Tatweer, Dubailand, Dubai Development and Investment Authority, and Dubai Tourism Development Company.

Mr. El-Tayara the Founder and Managing Partner of KCP Capital, a Dubai-based advisory and principal investment firm, has over 18 years of experience working in the investment banking and financial transactions arena in the Middle East, Russia, Africa and other markets. Prior to establishing KCP, Mr. El-Tayara was with investment banks Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. El-Tayara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut ( With Distinction) and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Mr. El-Tayara is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

Bart has 20 years’ experience in banking, working for the leasing and securitisation teams at Bank of America, Global Structured Finance at ANZ Investment Bank and Corporate Banking at Citibank. Most recently, he led the acquisition of TriCap’s investment in NTiC.

Mustafa is a CFA charter, coupled with more than 14 years’ experience in investment banking and asset management with AREF Investment Group (Kuwait) and Fidelity Investment Bank. At AREF, he was a founding team member of the International Investments division, building up an asset portfolio in excess of one billion dollars and representing AREF at the Board of Directors of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Tricap, Naveed worked with General Electric as part of its senior leadership team in Nigeria and developed a project pipeline in excess of 5,000 MW. He had previously worked as CFO and Executive Director for Creative Energy Resources (a company funded by IFC and Swicorp, and prior to that as Managing Director with The AES Corporation based in London and Arlington, USA.

Suleman has over 10 years’ experience in equity research, corporate finance, project analysis and business valuation across diversified industries. Prior to joining Tricap, Suleman spent six years covering listed equities, fixed income and hybrid securities in the MENA region and Pakistan.

Hina has 10 years of experience in the investment banking and private equity domain across origination and execution roles. She started her career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Mumbai and worked in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, consumer, and retail verticals.

Shahwaiz has more than ten years’ experience – including over seven years in the GCC – across a broad range of private equity, investment banking, and financial advisory platforms in both the GCC and Pakistan. He has completed transactions aggregating over US$500 million in value.
